Ultra Spec Cables FTTA Outdoor Rated Screw-type Plug to Socket Singlemode 4 Core TPU Cable is designed for use with FTTX/FTTA Systems, PON, CATV and Optical Signal Distribution and is suitable for both outdoor and harsh environments. The TPU or Thermoplastic Polyurethane Jacket protects the cable from damage caused by environmental conditions and is both extremely flexible and resistant to lubricants, heat, cracks and tears. These properties make it perfect for use in Wireless Base Station Applications and meet FTTA Requirements. The 4 Core Singlemode Antenna Feeder Cable consists of a Screw-type Plug and Socket that are Outdoor Rated, Corrosion Resistant and Stainless Steel. Both ends have Screw-locking Mechanisms and Dust Caps for when the cable is not in use. Primarily used in Telecommunication Systems, this cable is designed for FTTA (Fiber To The Antenna) applications and would commonly connect the BBU (Baseband Unit) in the equipment room to the RRU (Remote Radio Unit) or RRH (Remote Radio-Head) in a Wireless Base Station Application. FTTA Outdoor Rated Screw-type Connectors, along with fiber have been widely adopted as the standard used in many wireless communication technologies, since they provide more capacity to the cell towers, therefore supporting the demand for faster speeds and are considerably cheaper and easier to install than coaxial cables.
