Ultra Spec Cables Multimode OM4 8 Fiber MPO Female to 4 x LC-UPC Duplex Type B Breakout Cable is ideal for use in 10 and 40 Gigabit Ethernet and Fibre Channel applications. They are used to fan out a single 40Gbps Connection to four 10Gbps connections, so theyre perfect for high density environments, where space is a premium. The single MPO connects to four LC connections on equipment like switches, routers, SFP+/QSFP ports, hubs, patch panels and media converters. One end of the cable has an MPO Female Connector, with a push-pull mechanism that simplifies engagement/disengagement and can plugged in/removed with one hand and without the use of tools. The connector design also prevents snagging when the cables are being installed. The opposite end has 4 x LC-UPC Duplex connectors and their numbered legs of equal length correspond to the fiber position in the MPO. The pre-terminated connectors are machine polished for optimal performance. The jacket features a Magenta color and a LSZH rating. Both offer benefits in that the color simplifies the identification process between a mix of OM3 and OM4 Rated Cables in a packed network cabinet and the rating provides the added level of safety for personnel and equipment, in that its flame-resistant and emits low smoke and no halogen in the even of a fire.
