The E2000 Connectors at one end of the cable feature shutters that safeguard the ferrules from dust, dirt and scratches, while constraining the laser beams inside when the cable is disengaged. The shutters open automatically when the cable is plugged in. The latch design fastens the connector in place so it can bear heavier axial loads and prevent accidental disconnections. The opposite end of the cable is LC-APC Duplex. The APC, or Angled Physical Contact connectors on both ends are machine polished for optimal performance and minimize back reflection, so theyre perfect for applications that are extremely sensitive to signal variation and the cable itself is impervious to electrical interference.
