Ultra Spec Cables FTTA Screw-type Socket to LC-UPC Singlemode Duplex Cable is designed for use with FTTX/FTTA Systems, PON, CATV and Optical Signal Distribution. These robust construction of the socket and flexibility of the jacket make it perfect for use in Wireless Base Station Applications and meet FTTA Requirements. The 2 core (Duplex) Singlemode Antenna Feeder Cable consists of a Corrosion Resistant, Stainless Steel Screw-type Socket with a Screw-locking Mechanism and Dust Cap for when the cable is not in use. The opposite end is a standard LC-UPC Duplex with a ruggedized strain relief. Primarily used in Telecommunication Systems, this cable is designed for FTTA (Fiber To The Antenna) applications and would commonly connect the BBU (Baseband Unit) in the equipment room to the RRU (Remote Radio Unit) or RRH (Remote Radio-Head) in a Wireless Base Station Application. The FTTA Screw-type Connectors, along with fiber have been widely adopted as the standard used in many wireless communication technologies, since they provide more capacity to the cell towers, therefore supporting the demand for faster speeds and are considerably cheaper and easier to install than coaxial cables. The cable is also appropriate for use in transportation, industrial, agricultural, marine, drilling, surveillance, lighting, Aerospace and Defense Applications due to its durable construction and resistance to interference and high vibration/shock. This specific cable is also available in Outdoor Versions with both 2 and 4 Core Options as well as with a Screw-type Plug instead of a socket. Custom lengths and configurations are available.
