Our MDU Drop Cables are pre-terminated so they are ready for deployment and are equipped to meet the strict performance requirements of the latest FTTH and FTTP applications and standards. Theyre terminated on both ends with SC-APC Connectors which have angled end-faces which enhance network performance by preventing back reflection straight toward the source. Theyre preferred by telephone and cable companies, since their precision equipment is more sensitive to return loss which can affect signal transmission. The rugged 4.8mm jacket is more robust than our compact 3.0mm version, yet its still transportable, flexible and easy to use and maneuver. The durable jacket ensures a long service life, while the off-white color complements walls and trim better making it less noticeable when installed. The cables are fabricated using Bend Insensitive Fiber (BIF) has a much smaller bend radius, meaning it can withstand tighter bends, corners or being looped around cable management equipment without compromising functionality which is why its been widely adopted in multi-dwelling units like apartment buildings, condos, townhouses and even in commercial settings like schools, hospitals and even small-scale shopping plazas. The jacket is Plenum rated so its ideal for deployment through ducts, conduit, cable trays and in air-handling plenum spaces so its in compliance with building codes that mandate the use of Plenum-rated cable the above-mentioned installation environments. We include an SC-APC Simplex Coupler for optional use if you are looking to extend the distance of an existing cable run. If utilized, this convenient accessory provides a secure, durable long-term or temporary solution that is easy to install and remove. Our cost-effective fiber solution meets the growing demands for increased bandwidth coupled with faster speeds when used with existing equipment installed by an internet service provider and an active internet service plan.
